The Fight

​

1. He says he won’t start a fight,

2. Even though he’s ready to be in one.

3. He’s in a state of twilight,

4. Desperate for some fun.

5. Only in self defence,

6. That’s what his mama told him.

7. Says it’s common sense.

8. In a tone that is oh so grim.

9. But does that make him innocent,

10. Or does that make him complicit?

11. This question, oh so insignificant,

12. Wouldn’t be if he were to try to solicit

13. A fight to appease his growing appetite.

14. But does that put him in the right?
