Our Words and Ideas: Freshman Year
Title: “ Broke ”
1. Lying in bed
2. Staring at the ceiling,
3. While every thought is going through my head.
4. I thought you said
5. You will always love,
6. Even when I am miles ahead
7. I’m asking why you’ll spread
8. All these rumors about me,
9. Lie about it and end up turning red.
10. What made this worst was how you lied instead.
11. Don’t make messages into big situations
12. When all you did was assume when misread.
13. Now that you’ve misread,
14. The only thing that comes out
15. Is the truth from you because your hardhead
16. If you loved me you would’ve done what’s right
17. But you made the decision to do the wrong thing
18. Wish you would’ve made a better choice
19. But, you were the one to mess it all up

My Thoughts..
1. I’ve always told myself I will never be able to rhyme or do poems.
2. I always had negative thoughts.
3. Negative thoughts about me failing,
4. Negative thoughts about asking for help as a bad thing.
5. Always thought to myself, when will this end?
6. Went home to just stare at papers
7. Knowing I can’t do this.
8. It was to difficult.
9. Weeks later, I realized a lot.
10. I realized I can do this,
11. I will not bring myself down.
12. I will bring myself up to the top.
13. I’ve learned to never doubt yourself,
14. Always believe in yourself.
